Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to Beannie for fitting my d4 sat nav and reversing camera today.
On my drive home I noticed I have a problem to run past the experts.
After inputting a destination everything goes as normal until I come to my first turn I get no guidance screen or voice guidance. If I take a wrong turn it also doesn't re route me back on course, it just stays on the original track even though the cursor is not. When I press the nav speaker button it says " please refer to the map"
Now, I didn't know until I got there today that my nav is a ROW version which doesn't have TMC fitted. Would this make any difference?
Your help would be greatly appreciated guys

Splitter Cable

That's the ones
Hello Robbo, did you find a splitter cable that is already in two sections or did you have to break the SMB End apart ?
Graham's definitely has UK maps and the GPS picked up it new location once fitted into the car, all looked normal when he left me, speed sensor is tracking distance on the screen, radio etc has volume as normal, I did fitt a reverse camera and have activated the setting for this, again operating as I would expect and as mine does, just the guidance part seems odd
It had to be Ian, I was more concerned that as I'd had the screen in and out again during the fit and camera install that I'd dislodged it at Pin 2 screen end
Sunderland was looking a long way for a 20 min wiring check

USB Connectivity for Audio in the D4 Sat Nav Unit ???
Having been inspired by this thread I've now completed the fitting of the D4 screen and Rear Camera (made some nice looms which work well) so all good but I was wondering if anyone here has managed to connect a USB port for Audio to the D4 Sat Nav OR does this connection come from another module in the car ?

It is used on D4 models for map update only no other use, no use for the D3 at all, no update possible as it checks vin numbers during process.FFRR SC 4.2
