I believe there's a scheme to allow anyone to have an electric vehicle charging station installed at their home without cost. A bit like that cavity wall Insulation scheme.
My neighbour owns a company that installs solar panels and they have just stated on the charging stations, he keeps trying to get me to have one installed.

It costs the same to tax my D3 as my old td4 freelander 1.
Also the same as my brothers old civic type R.
On that basis I so t think it's too bad.
Still dear though.

Having had a few cars in this tax bracket I think it's not that bad as at least we get a lot of car for the money. Always begrudged it more when paying the same for my R32.
Looking at some of the tax rates abroad though we do ok!
