slight hijack....
nice shiny alloys but anyone know how to actually protect an alloy (the 19" ones) so you can do mild off roading without damaging them all the time......had one set refurbished now for road use.....
Presumably it wouldn't take much to make these painted wheels look a bit scruffy?end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

problem there is how organised you have to be to ensure the right wheels are on at the right time....no spur of the moment reckless stuff end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Hi Ken,
Can you provide more detail about the wranglers pictured here? That is size and type. Are these available in Oz ?
My 2 cents !... Grey are definitely on the money (slight bling factor and plenty of "hey look at me I'm diffrent to the others"..) should look great on my Bonatti D3 What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

I run around with 17" & conti tyres on Mrs DSL's D3 S (should be 18" 5 spokes) as I'd use them for day to day use, greenlaning or mild offroading, only change to MTRs when I know I'd be heading for the gloop. Then the pucka set is not getting damaged off road & can use up the tyres on my car.

Sorry mobyone, it appears that Goodyear only do a 17" as the largest rim in the MT/Rs in Australia.
See here. (Disregard my note about only 17" MTRs - I just checked and there is a 255/55R19 listed.)
But I am with you on the colour looking good on a Bonatti Grey. Maybe I should look at a second set for a little bling value! But only in a mild way though...LeighW
The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)
