Knock from Front End

Hi,

I have had the disco for a couple of week now. When I purchased the car the lower bottom arm bushes had been replaced.

I have noticed though that when travelling over bumps I get a light knocking that I can feel through the steering wheel. On the flat and under braking I do not get any knocks, just when going over bumpy roads, of which they are plenty with all the potholes at the moment!

There is also a little bit of play on the steering wheel when wiggling it when stationary, could this be the lower steering column?

Thanks

Glen

Mine does the same so the lower column is next on the list to be replaced. Check your ARB bushes and drop links as they also cause a clunking noise when worn.
