Remember, your indy will make more money cleaning/replacing EGR's every x,000 miles. Once they are blanked, they will never cause you any more issues ![Thumbs Up Thumbs Up](images/smiles/icon_thumbs.gif)
They're an emission reduction tool. Unfortunately they're also very bad for your engine (besides having to be replaced once every two years).
Its also rather embarrassing if they're stuck open when the car is cold and you have to use low range to pull out of your driveway and drive around town.

Could you encourage a few of them to post their experiences please?
NJSS
Anyone out there had good/bad experiences of this, as NJSS suggested?
Can you also confirm that ALL other fault codes are still enabled? Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Here we go. 07 plate Euro 4 engine. Been following all the stuff about 'fixes' etc concerning blanking, warning lights and the rest. A week ago I booked in at LR Service & Repair, Riccall, Yorks. Nice people. Good coffee. Richard, the owner, explained the process and fully briefed on fault codes, warning lights etc. Took a little longer than one hour. On completion and with no false promises about improved anything, I turned the key and drove off. I've given it a week so that I could drive the vehicle under different conditions so as to prove to myself I wasn't imagining things.
From the start: immediate throttle response, no lag, more 'punch' at low speeds and on acceleration. Feels more power at cruising speeds. No warning light. MPG definitely improved by 1.5-2mpg I estimate if instrument panel to be believed (and I believe mine). Result is I am very pleased with the result and wish I had done it sooner. Nothing to attach, no wires to locate. £349 well spent.
I might add before any 'ums and aahs' appear that as someone with a wee bit of knowledge about electronic brains my first thought has always been: 'warning light comes on, do not want warning light on, disable warning light'. Works for me. Oh and the electronic brain(s) I had to contend with were/are fitted in the Apache Attack Helicopter so I figure go tell a software engineer to tell the 'brain' not to illuminate the light!
