D3 was announced on 2nd April 2004, sales were later in the year (Gareth had one of the first) 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Yes I had an early one. YE54 DVA if its still around, was a good car in the end. A bit troublesome in its early months, with suspension errors, tyre wear, epb screamers etc.
But went on to keep it for 5 years, 130k and it still looked as good as the day it was delivered.
What does strike me, is how good and clean the D3 still looks after 10 years. Not dated much at all.

Mine was delivered 18th Dec 04.
A rather lovely Christmas gift to someone.
Still a clean car, needs a good coat of polish over it once the better weather appears.

I've will have owned mine from new since 27th March 2007 (7 years) but that's probably a few years short of how long others have had theirs for!

I had a Ford Maverick for 10 years , in all that time it had,...... a new battery, a new exhaust and a set of tyre's
Had my D3 4 years in September , new batery, new tyres , new break pipe's , new intercooler,new drivers door locking thingy (£130) new front grill (had to cut old one because bonnet cable seperated in engine bay) oh and two sets of wipers
When will I ever learn
but I still love the d3
