It is removable to check for a fixable problem, but most failures require a new unit. For reasons unknown LR changed the price to put it in the unbelievable range. Unless you need it I would fix it closed - permanently.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I fixed it with a screw No need for it so now it doesn't get in the way and hasn't cost me £100 to fix "Your mind is like a parachute! It will only function when open"!

Mine was £35 ?? a few months ago .... D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit

I followed the instructions by somebody on here and removed the spring, it now can be opened and closed manually Mark
