Dash'green' Lighting ... upgraded LED ??
a sealed unit I understand ..... but still 'dim' green dash lighting is so annoying .....
'yep' the switch is at its brightest
has anyone ever tried to fit brighter lights
they are on flea bay..... just wondered D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.
Having taken the switch apart for other reasons, i think you could possibly turn the rheostat up and increase the intensity of the dash lights Altox GSM FBH controller thread

The dash lights are all surface mounted LED's soldered directly onto the circuit board, I've seen "brighter dash lights" advertised but they are generally for the older LR's that used actual bulbs.
If the dash lights are really too dim, that to me suggests a fault somewhere.Clive

You need to try another switch to check if the rheostat isn't goosed in your current switch.
I might know somebody who has a perfectly working light switch in his garage. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails

The switch is easy to take apart, pull the trim panel at the bottom, the whole unit comes out, unplug the wiring
Turn the trim over and remove the 4 screws once you have the light switch out depress the little tabs to separate,
Now be carefully not to dislodge any parts until you see where they go.
Remove the brightness control and you'll see the cog of the rheostat, I think there is scope to turn it more that the thumb wheel does More means brighter, then reassemble Altox GSM FBH controller thread

I just bought one for the facia, as I didn't want to drill my original auto one to fit a switch for the spots, so used the facia off a bogo one courtesy of an old friend and ex forum member.

I like it as dim as possible so I'm not reminded of the mismatched fonts across the various LCD displays - bit like my old HP 41CV calculator meeting its Casio cousins
