Takes 2 mins to pull the seat out, and saves a whole lot of arsing around Thumbs Up

I'm stumped. I have followed every green and white cable through that section and they all go past the passenger seat and under the carpet.

Had to admit defeat and call the Landy specialist who services my car. He said done dozens bring it down. Well it's not there on my car (2008). He thinks Landrover must have changed the loom. Any further information would be gratefully received.

I did my mates the other week and it was much easier to take the seat out, we were also trying to fix drain holes in the sunroof, so made it all a bit easier.

Very simple fix. Thumbs Up
It's a poor show if it's happening to d4's as well!

Cannot find the splice cable for door locks

Hi Guys.

Im new to the forum and have been searching through many forums and have come to find this one to have the most helpful topics.

Im sorry for this being my first post but I really need some help before I splash out on a garage to fix the problem.

Ive now opened thr car up twice and failed miserably. Does anyone know somewhere I could go in west london who will not rip me off to fix this problem.

Both my keys dont lock or unlock doors and its really annoying and at the same time now my headlights are not turning on first time around which i dont know if its related.

Any help will be much appreciated

Karim

What size would you recommend for this job, 5mm - 12mm, 4mm - 9mm?

Nicey splicey

Hey thanks guys for the various write-ups and pics of this job, my 05HSE V8 just came back from quite a pricey MOT (another wishbone! More brakes!), I was very happy that a suspension knock that's gone undiagnosed through the last 2 MOTs has finally been sorted, but unhappy about the sodden wet carpet I found whilst doing the annual hoovering to make it half presentable for the mot man. Then the next day the fob stopped working. And I discovered my manual door handle lock doesn't work. So I needed a quick fix (I park her on the street in London), checked the forum, green wire splice came up, 15 mins later it was working again. And no I'm not lightning quick, I left the loom cover off so I can sort the leak and mop up the gallon of water that submerges the loom every time I step on the carpet... I think that foam they use could help solve the water shortages we have every summer...

Anyway, cheers once again!

Thanks guys for the write up, even with my limited skills and quite frankly disbelief that 3 wires could cause the central locking to stop working. Took me an hour to find and fix, nearly as long again to put the Censored trim back but all is working

Is this it? The top green/ white wire come from under the seat.
What's the brownish sticky goo?
It's an 07 car at least after 25/05/07
