Yep, nice one on CO/2, first year down to a "bargain" £620, then £280 a year in Band K. Once of the things that put the nail in the D3 was the £420/yr road tax costs.
MY14 even in the system already
Must control ordering impulses...
I think the facelift tweaks are ok, I would be more worried about the single speed transfer box - sign of things to come?
Regarding the chrome, take a look at the ML350, Tourag, X5 etc - seems to be the industry trend at the moment?Disco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...

Chasing typical car-buyer volume be removing things like the transfer box.
I hate stop-start so I hope it can be turned off!

Lets hope they're using a better battery in the stop/start model?
...also, wonder how long i'll be before people start moving the letters around?
I'm thinking 'COSYDRIVE'

Its not all that bad. Transfer box is optional, so I don't have a problem with that.
Lower tax bracket is great news and could possibly be worth a lot more than it currently is if the banding's get altered at the next budget?
T Junction cameras, from the pictures they have moved the front cams from the 2013 model. Mine has them and they basically both look forward at the same thing, so 2014 seems it can actually see round the corner.
Stop start is good, I have used it on the FFRR and the Jags, and I like it.
LR4 Markets keep same badging. So you could always get LAND ROVER put back on!
Personally, I don't like DRL on any car, but seeing as they have to be there then so be it.

I agree on the stop start - surely this puts more wear on a number of components ?
and I'll bet you have to turn it off after every time you start the vehicle on the buttonIllegitimi Non Carborundum

Nah, as an off-roader I'd go for DO ICY REVS although with the new fish-face look I suspect IS VERY COD will be popular.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

So stop-start... we all know how much drain the electrics have, stop-start systems only work when the engine is warm, the battery is charged, the air-con is not demanding a lot from the pump etc etc - my experience has been in a lot of situations when you stop it does not always.
I always had reservations about wear/tear but I think its the starter/battery that get hammered, but nearly all mainstream cars have it now so you would have to hope Bosch or whoever makes the starter has adapted by now. The 3L a big engine to turn, but the Merc's, audi's BM's etc all have stop start on big cars as well now.
Wonder how much the price will go up though?
Gotta pay for that chrome....Disco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...

At last, My14 is out!
My first impression is that is looks great, the chrome at the front might need a bit getting used to.
Although officially no changes on the rear lights, it seems like they got a bit of a gray/smokey colour, haven't they?
I also preferred the Land Rover badge... I hope that LR has a big stock of badge letters!
Anyway, I believe it's ordering time...

Stop start components have been around a fair while now, and are substantially upgraded to support the higher duty cycle (order of 10 times a day instead of 1)06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Less of this Stop Start talk .....The critical question is whether those new front lights are a straightforward fit for my 2013MY 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Re: Land Rover Discovery 4 MY2014
Not sure why the Discovery needs to be aligned with "other Range Rover vehicles"? Is this significant or am I reading too much into it?

I'm not one to normally debadge or muck about modifying too much, but if I ordered a 14MY then the DISCOVERY would be coming straight off to be replaced with LAND ROVER.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
