Carputer
I'm considering buying a 'carputer' specifically to run the Fugawi mapping software, after spending most of the day browsing for suitable kit, this is what i've come up with....

comments and / or suggestions would be appreciated - yer, I know that a bit more investment would give me a dvd player etc. but that's not the primary aim at the moment
If you want to play around with the configuration, go here http://www.cartft.com/catalog/threeorbuilt2
Cheers,

The Fugawi has better worldwide coverage and shows topography in clearer detail... plus its £49 for a quarter of the UK which I *think* is cheaper than memory map and I'm told has touch screen support... although i'm open to suggestions as I said

I've got Memory map, running on an Ipaq with built in GPS. Its great for off-road nav. It also has a most amusing 3-d fly through feature which is very interesting when you fly the routes we did in Wales! (Fly through on the lap top only)
Yes it costs a bit more, but I find it more user friendly than fugawi. Does Fugawi have a 'download to pda" function?
