Brake shudder passenger side front disco 3 auto 2007

When I apply my brakes the steering wheel judders and I get a chattering noise. When brake is fully on it stops. I have fitted new bottom bush and brake discs plus new pads. I checked new discs and had 40 thou warping. Skimmed lightly and still getting shuddering on wheel and chattering.
Also if I want to stop air suspension pushing down, say I want to change a wheel, how do you immobilise air suspension.
Replies appreciated

If one of your new discs had a 40thou warp I would be questioning there quality. Have you checked the calliper sliders and do the pistons go back easily? Immobilise the suspension by leaving a door or the boot open

Then I would be looking to change the discs you have had fitted for some quality items, no new disc should have any warp!!

I was a bit vague with 40 thou warp .this was after about 2000 miles from fitting them the vehicle has just passed test. I was wandering if it is the link bar

The anti roll bar wouldn't cause any feed back through steering. Do you get pulsating through the pedal? Jack the car up and check the front outer track arms and ball joints but I would say you have an issue with a disc/pad sticking. Even 2000 miles isn't acceptable mileage for a disc to warp unless its poor quality or your brakes are binding

I can understand the disc may create shudder or wobble but where would the chattering noise come from.

No pulsating through pedal. Just steering wheel wobble and chatter, then goes after brake fully applied.

The pad moving in the carrier will cause a chattering noise

if it goes on full (hard) braking, that still sounds like disc run out, as the hard barking is pulling it back into line.

Try replacing the discs with some genuine ones.

It defo sounds like a disc...but what if a front wheel bearing was on the way out ?....would that cause the same type of issue ?

the discs were from a Landrover supply company. They say they have not had trouble with them before. They looked decent machine wise. This company usually supply good spares. not Landrover original but do not know name of manufacturer. not Britpart. they are guaranteed, but they have to send them back so I would be without car. I can purchase a new set and pay for them, and if those sent back are faulty I get a refund. problem is that if they are not faulty i finish up with two sets of discs that may be no good. My opinion is the discs are good but if they are being overheated they could warp. It is only the front passenger side. Need to re-examine the whole set up.

Make sure the face that the disc sits on in completely free from rust and dirt. Usually a disc will warp after 2000 miles if the hub it bolts too wasn't cleaned properly, or you've braked coming to a stand still and sat there with your foot on the brake.
