First post having just bought a 2005 D3 SE, nice forum you have here
I had a good search through the forum but haven't read of anyone having the same problem that I have. When using the powerfold function, only the passenger mirror folds in, there's no movement on the driver mirror.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or does anyone have any tips?
Lastly, a hard reset is mentioned in a few places, is that just a disconnection of the battery for a short perid or something else?
Thanking you in advance...

Welcome!
Mirrors - sorry I am no use on that one.
Hard reset - disconnect both battery clamps from the terminals and join the clamps (not the terminals) together with a ratchet bar or similar conductor for a few moments, obviously being cautious about letting anything touch the battery terminals. Paul Redding

does the drivers mirror make any noise when you try and fold it ?
if so, you might just need to manually fold it right open and close it in again to realign everything, otherwise the motor may have failed Duncan

No noise that I could detect, will try manual folding. The mirror adjusts electronically from the control inside no problem, just doesn't fold in. I am unsure if the motors are separate.
And thank you for the replies so far.

or could be a loose connection - take the door card off and check the plugs Duncan

Previous owner may have fitted a non power fold mirror It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Manual folding hasn't made any difference and I'm not there yet with taking the door card off, so I'm taking it in to my local specialist this week and will have him check it out.
Thank you for the responses.

So my local specialist informs me the motor is kaput, so a new mirror is required. Cheapest I've seen is around £200 via ebay; does anyone have any other suggestions?
On the positive side the transfer box which had a little oil on it came back with a clean bill of health and they've been unable to replicate the electric handbrake error/warning that I had.
I have a test run to the south coast and back tomorrow for work and then off on holiday in our new Disco it is!
