Lovely there too, spent many a summer on a farm in Charente, near Ruffec.
Lovely beaches near you.
Enjoy the weather .

Nearly forgot. Saw Andre Rieu and his Orchestra in Maastricht. On April 30 he gave a concert in celebration of the new Dutch King which we saw on TV. Over 2 months later he gave the same bloody concert! Thousands in the audience from around the world who couldn't give a flying f**k about the Dutch Royal Family (including me) so change your act mate.
Was at same concert and other half was well disappointed especially with the australian singer he had there

We had good weather down there last week near Perranporth with the only rain being overnight - left on Saturday evening but back again this Friday, for the rest of the month and the sun again.
Last years meeting place (or was that the year before?) "The New Inn" has closed for refurbishment during the peak season
Not on our own last week Stew - so didn't call you.

So, got back from my week away in sunny Brittany last Saturday evening. 5 guys, a sh/t load of luggage, 1340 miles and.....loads of diesel
Disco performed faultlessly. Smooth, quiet and comfortable at speed on the auto routes, easy to thread through lanes and French villages, plus it squished the cobbles we encountered in St Malo and Dinan (near to where we stayed) which normally result in your fillings being ejected in 'normal' cars.
When loaded up to the gun walls the air suspension really does come into it's own, especially when you see other 4x4's and estate owners rubbing their rear wheel arches and lighting up the sky (talking of which, we say the Milky Way on one clear evening, plus numerous shooting stars and passing satellites).
Only when we returned did she blot her copy book with the drivers door latch going AWOL last Sunday. £183 later and normal service is resumed.
I'm now thinking about a winter hols road trip...please let it snow!
Fabulous car.
