TRANSMISSION FAULT

Today there was a message of Transmission Fault on the Onboard Computer and it was showing an F on the LED panel
and a loss of Power,

pulled over switch the car off and after a few minutes it was OK .

This happened only after a mile of running ,

Any clues ??????
Transmition Fluid / Filter Changed 1.000miles ago

Cheers

You need to get the fault codes.
It might be the integrated transfercase module wiring or perhaps the transmission wiring on the Gearbox underneath the vehicle. unplugg those and look for the usual Censored (stuff) that we do not want there. Hint, it might be green and it might be white, and sometimes its brown.

Weak batteries can throw up tranny faults...could be alternator on way out...

Get the battery charged and try again...

Just shows, always check the basics first. Good reminder for me too!

I've got a lovely big Varta on mine. Get the best you can afford. These cars hammer their batteries. Do an annual deep recondition as well in the autumn (not to be done in sub-zero temperatures). I swear by my CTEK chargers for this.

Thumbs Up
