That sounds like classic thrust bearing wear. Mine has done 65k miles and if the clutch makes 80 I'll be really surprised. I've taken to using low range when I'm shunting the"nag taxi" around the yard now to pre long it's life.

I use low box loads and I have an auto, I know my Indy has put 2 clutches in an 08 plate its had only done 40k when he was doing the 2nd clutch

True but its a bit of a when every other 4X4 I've owned has never grumbled about be put to work. I mean my old P38 just lapped it up. Very good off road as well. Never got stuck
