FREE for iPhone/Android users FANTASTIC battery saver App |
|
Stunning, fantastic, worlds best iphone battery analyser and saver, FREE on a special promotion but be quick.
Analyses all your memory, can auto re allocate it, sources behind the scene programmes zapping your power, brilliant graphics
It is amazing to see what power different Apps use or are using, is very accurate in showing what can be done to save power, useful if running low and need to extend it, unnecessary use of wifi on when not using it is a killer.
Lots to play with, also has a section with other free (on this offer) Apps, I downloaded the fuel gauge one, it has the Disco pre programmed in (make sure you select Disco diesel) looks awesome, uses GPS, may try it on French trip later in the week
In App store search for Battery Saver by KS Mobile inc (the one with the orange battery logo)
Apparently it is known as Battery Doctor for Android users

This app. is also available, free, for Android as "Battery Doctor".
Peter will you alter the subject to include Android please?

NJSS
Done
Note*. If you go into 'more' (bottom right) in the home page, you can explore deeper e.g system settings/usage e.t.c. Also has battery saving hints / tips e.g. Going into settings / General / Date and Time and disabling the Auto location time feature (you can still do it manually) saves 30% power
In the bottom of the home page the 'market' tab leads you to other free Apps, if you go into that and then press the top 'trending' tab you will see the most popular, there is a photo guard (was $4.99, free on the offer) there that puts a pass code using a drag shape/pattern with your finger, this safeguards your pics from nosey people say when showing them one pic and they try to view your album, if they do try to view it then it takes a discreet pic of them So see who the nosey Parkers are
Can people give any feedback on here, will help the sceptical

Thanks Peter.
I have installed the Android app. which looks quite good.
I will report again after more experience. In the interim I would encourage
others to give it a go.

I think it is good in so far as it not only creates awareness visually of what is draining your power, especially the iphone 5, but gives clear and easy instructions on how to rectify it plus auto re allocates memory at the touch of a button.
Lets see how people get on with it.

Had a bit of a play today, and impressed so far
I put a great deal of emphasis on user-friendliness,and this is clear, concise and seems to work well
Particularly like the graphic that shows the potential battery charge saving for closing each function currently in use.
As an aside, the best battery saving tip if ur getting low is to make a call, not text,as the biggest drain on a battery is the screen, which powers down during a voice call, but not while u are texting "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Thanks for your thoughts, very much like mine, it brings awareness in a visual way as to what is draining your power, I certainly learnt a good bit today
And for FREE I don't think anyone can moan
Plenty to explore and play with, although take care and don't run the battery down

Tried to download it but I couldn't unless I updated my CC details, what's this about then when it claims to be free - another Apple rip off? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Do you already have an Apple ID ?....if you have then it should be free
If you haven't got an ID then I can only assume that was part of the setting up process... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

With most App stores you have to set up an ID and have a CC lodged even for free Apps. I would leave it, not much to see, leave it for those that are Apple ID users who understand the system
