I read that, either people driving like nuns or not liking to tell the truth when it come to running costs.

I'm averaging about 25-26 mpg from my 04 HSE, even with shell V power diesel, TSL and 2 stroke.
Work's out about 450 a tank, roughly. But i have only had to fill it 3 times so far.
Mixed commute but i do have to drive at rush hour times to college and back.In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

When I bought it a drove it from west London to Northern Ireland via Stranraer, and had done 471 mile with a quarter a tank left, but the was on the cruise at 70 mph the whole way. That will never be seen again the roads over here are not built for cruising.
And from any evidence I can find remapping doesn't make one bit of difference to MPG, how well it's service might but I would say driving style means more than anything.

True it doesn't always make it more economical, but as it has more power, to drive the same speeds you need less right foot, less gear changes, equals more economy, trouble is, it can be too much fun!Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I know I have had 2 previous cars remapped with good increases, problem is it's very addictive and you find yourself riding the big wave of torque all the time.
