Nice looking car 8) and it looks like you have been busy. You may want to invest in one of Ray's Spare wheel protectors before some has it away with yours Cheers Ian

Another facelift freeby SE to disco HSE owner.
Tad different aren't they?
How do you find the upgraded blue tooth mod? I'm getting that done next month hopefully.
Otherwise, treat it the same way as the freeby, you have to let it know who's boss and be firm with that. In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

Bluetooth MOD is fantastic - full phone book integration on the wifes Blackberry and My 4S, straightforward and easy to do.
It is a slight change to the Freelander but it is mainly the wifes car so not too concerned as long as she is happy.
Just need to get a heat gun from work so I can get the amber sections out of the headlamps and I will be happy

What is the best tool to split the clear front from the rear of the headlamp?
My screwdriver was just bending the plastic

Probably need more heat, should come apart quite easily so long as youve removed all screws.

Nice D3
Nice motor good choice. We went from a Defender to a D3 mainly because I was hacked off with it pouring lubricants from different orifices every week Why do people love those things? Yeah great off road but built like We love our D3, tsaking it to Corsica in May for a spot of green laning. Enjoy yours

Thankyou for all the kind words, the wifelet is enjoying driving the truck although has managed to smash one of the wing mirrors reversing into our drive!! Cheap replacement located though.
Have side steps, One of Ray's Spare Wheel Protectors, Supercharged Front Grille, boot protector from HatchBag and a few more LED's arriving very soon.
Will take more pics as things are fitted.

All LED's fitted today, so now have all interior lights, brake lights, side lights and puddle lights as LED.
Big thanks to HIDs4U for a great service. Not going to bother doing any more as cant be bothered wiring in resistors.
Rays spare wheel protector is here and I must say what a solid, well made and professional piece of kit it is! Will be fitted as soon as the spare wheel is removed and a new tyre fitted - cheeky scamps who supplied the car tried to get away with supplying a spare that was on the wear markers, they were happy enough to replace it though - once I noticed!
Supercharged front grille and side vent arrived from dc4x4 ltd - very impressed with their service too - Zermatt silver surround with Black honeycombe effect, very happy with it.
Finally the side steps have turned up so will be installing them tomorrow - even treated myself to a new dremel 3000 for the cutting out.
Am going to have another attempt at de-oranging the front lights very soon - just awaiting the delivery of a glass puller to help me extract the clear area.
Promise to take loads of pics tomorrow and might even give the old truck a wash!

This is a great thread, I'm looking at getting a D3 HSE in the next 12 months. Ive got a D1 as a toy but want something more refined on road, and something a little more green oval than a 307!!
These mods all sound very interesting... i shall be looking forward to the photos for some inspiration as soon as I've got mine!

Afternoon fellas - had a busy morning fitting the side steps and adding some more led lights - still havent deoranged the front lights but that is a job for tomorrow. Now have the front grille on and the small side grille!
Off to the garage tomorrow for the replacement tyre and fitting the spare wheel protector, also my hatchbag has turned up so that will also be installed this weekend.
Busy me! Good job I managed to get my OU TMA submitted early!! 8)
