Gone back to the D3 mode as the brightness issue has made this mod useless Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

Cheers SantiD3
I've had a rummage on various websites and found nothing to suggest that we would get additional functionality from using the screen hack and ACM Stand to be corrected though if you find anything.
Would be interested in your solution on the brightness. TBH I'm not sure it make will make a big difference here (Oman) as the screen angle is rubbish so sun is constantly reflecting off it. I can't see what's on the Nav Screen 50% of the time anyway....
I'm looking at adding a shroud over the screen when I get the dashboard retrimmed...
Cheers

Bluetooth Module Update
Evening Wiggs,
I believe this question is for you! I have a Disco 3 HSE 2005 model. Done the RR upgrade on the SatNav Screen, or otherwise stated I've cut the 4th wire on the connector to the screen. Everything works! Thank you very much. However, my system is not picking up my phone although it connects through bluetooth, but it doesn't show any dials nor phone book.
Can you assist? Only problem is...... I'm in South Africa!
Will really appreciate any comments!
Regards,
Agurkie

Hi Santi, Flack and others. Wondered if you guys had made any more progress on the brightness sensor? A thought that has occurred to me is whether an anti-glare or polarising film could be applied to the screen (rather like to a touch screen phone or monitor) that would reduce the glare but still allow the touch screen to work. Wondered if any one had tried it already??

made this mod today, and its awesome. Its not to dim either, if you turn up the rheostat for the illumination, and set the brightness on full in menu =)
Avg speed, avg fuel and outside temperature does not work. Is this a common problem?, May i need a hard reset or a mod in the CCF ?
if i activate TV and rear seat entertainment for Disco3, it will be activated, but grayed out in RR mode as in disco mode? - My 2006 D3 HSE PP

Hiya. Really keen for a solution to the brightness issue. Which rheostat did you turn up ? Might have to revert it back to d3 mode as the screen is unusable in daylight currently in rr mode since the mod (great mod though... At night!)
Is working on it at the moment we will just have to wait..

2009 RRS - will it work ?
Does anyone know if this nav mod will work on a 2009 RRS TDV8 so I can see / use the phonebook on the nav screen ? The posts refer to bluetooth modules etc on pre 2008 models so im assuming the 2009 will simply need the wire cutting and no changes to anything else ? thanks in advance.
