The 5A fuses will not be that accurate and the alarm will also be taking some power as well.
Have you checked for water behind the fuse box as there was a issue with leaking from the screen causing corrosion and shorting. Have you had a new windscreen recently.

spent some time today going through the fuses behind the glove box.
got to third from top row before givving up !!
however, part of the way through the draw dropped from 6 amps to 0.4 amps...
I am now starting to thing that maybe I didnt let the car go to sleep properly before checking in the first place so may have to start all over again.
the car is still going dead overnight so something is draining power.
does anyone know what the "normal" amp drain should be ?
i'll need to add in the FBH GSM and timer but thats negligable and hasnt caused problems in the past.
Thanks all Duncan

I didnt think anyone would know
anyway the plot thickens. I have completly removed the auxillary battery and since then ive had no drain and the car starts fine every morning
i had checked the aux battery drain and it was 0 amps !!!
if the split charge system was faulty then perhaps that could drain the main battery. One thing of interest was that when I connected a battery charger to the main battery both the main and aux battery showed the same voltage !!
is there any way to test if the National Lunar split charge system is faulty other than just disconnect it - can i check somehow for current drain ??
Cheers Duncan

Mmm, thanks...
i was getting 0.4 amps - so perhaps i do have some drain - i need to add the FBH GSM but i dont think that pulls 0.38 amps ??
cars been ok since sunday morning when i disconnected the aux battery Duncan

Anything upto 0.2amps (not 0.02amps )drain on a modern vehicle is perfectly acceptable

No it's not, a 5th of an amp is way outside our spec.....it needs to be no more than 0.02amps

If you have a cooler in the centre cubby box make sure it is switched off.
Leave the vehicle in access height at night, if it is left at any other height it will keep "waking up" to ajust the ride height.
Have you checked the aux battery, if it is not holding charge it can pull the starting battery down, depending on how the system you have got works, disconnect it completely, including any solenoids it may have.
Another failing is a faulty tail gate switch. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

0,2amp is not going to cause a flat battery unless the vehicle is parked for yonks , anything lower than that ,0.02 being excellent is a bonus.
The self levelling suspension will drain more than 0.02amps.
All i'm saying is aslong as it's under 0.2amps , there isn't going to be an issue.
