Having need to replace one of the General Grabber AT2 tyres on my vehicle due to damage (well - local dealer not knowing to shim ARB bushes to stop tyre wear), I have now found that they are no longer on the market.
I don't want a different tyre for the replacement - and I don't want a new set of five of something else. The tyre people are having no luck trying to find a singleton lying in stock somewhere. So does anyone on the forum have one (or two) that they don't need? Size is 255x60R18. Slightly worn is fine as that's what the four it will be joining are! A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Ah! Sorry for causing confusion here.
I noticed undue wear on the inside edge of the front tyres, so I took it to the local dealer whose cure was a four wheel alignment and a bill for close to £200. But the tyres kept on wearing!
Just last month I took it into Team Vally Landrover in Gateshead for a service and they spotted right away that the bushes in the front and rear anti-roll bars were worn. There is a LandRover kit available to fix this by fitting shims without having to fit new bushes. So thats the cause of the excessive wear fixed
Sadly, one of the tyres is no longer legal, hence my need for this single replacement! A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
