Nearly as big a following as the General AT
I have to say that the ATR is getting to be more popular, as we have sold four sets already this week and seven sets of General AT's.

Love my ATR's. No extra noise, great in the wet too. Better than I expected in the mud (goes at least everywhere my mud tyred 90 goes), and snow gets a too. Done 20K so far and look around half worn.

I'm sure the D3/4 TR system makes a big difference, but I'm always surprised by how capable the Pirelli ATR's are in the mud. Not what you'd expect from the relatively tame looking tread pattern.

Just got the GG AT 255 / 55 R19
Too early to tell but feel much better than the standard Wranglers.
I do have an issue with the balance on one tyre though:
It has about 200g of weights affixed to balance it! One of the others has only 30.
I'm going back and asking for them to rotate the tyre 180 degrees on the rim to see if this helps.
Is this a normal issue with either the tyres or alloys?

I recall reading or hearing about that style of 19" rim being tricky to balance. Iirc, it was thought to be due to the off set hole on the "spokes".
No idea if the GG AT is any harder, or easier, to balance than other tyre.

Discovery 3 winter tyres
Scotsman in Norway here so. I've learned a bit about winter tyres. We have 2 sets of wheels/tyres here. Summer size is 19 or 20 " and winter is 17 or 18" on a thinner and higher profile winter tyre. A proper winter tyre will degenerate pretty fast in temps above 0 but the grip on snow and ice is amazing. I would recommend going down the 2 sets of wheels option although cost can be an issue. I buy my tyres from dekkonline.com. I'm pretty sure they deliver in the uk and they are very fast. They have a huge selection of tyres.
If you do the 2 sets choice and change them as soon as winter is done, you will get many seasons out of them ( although the rubber hardens a little through time) they will still be very good after 3/4 years.
I hope this helps. Cheers

I got them to rotate the tyre 180 degrees and this has helped it's now down to 130g of weights.
He thinks it's a so so rim.2014 SDV6 HSE White, LLAMS Height Controller, Tinted Glass, Tuff Ant Sliders and 18" steel wheels, Safari Snorkel, Rhino Rack Platform, ARB Air Compressor, Custom Drawer and storage unit -http://www.box.com/s/jem0ilac3cner2mexq64 UHF CB, 4x4 Intellegence RWC, 120ltr Long range tank, Rock Sliders and Compressor protection plate Beanie grill, De Tango.

My issue is I'm running AT2's at the moment and I love them but from the folks I've spoken to the new AT can be a bit slippy on damp corners. Like I said earlier I even had a complete stranger inspecting my tyres outside my house and he had AT's on his FFRR and said he did a lot of driving on them and in the rain they were awful and they slip and slid on the rutted track to his house.
Even a few on here who have the AT's and like them do say they let the car slide on damp corners. The roads round me are all corners and being in the north of Scotland there's a fair chance the road will be wet quite a bit By comparison nobody with ATR's has said they are anything less than great on and off road ... hence am am beginning to lean toward the dark side.
Aesthetically I prefer the look of the Grabber AT though over the Pirelli ATR
