FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRIC WINDOWS WITH ANTI TRAP PINCH DEVICE
Please pay attention to the following points when fitting the wind deflectors.
1. Open the window completely.
2. Hold the wind deflector with two hands. Push the front side of the milled edge into the rubber so that the glass goes up into, not between the rubber and the metal part of the frame. Then place the end of the deflector at the mirror corner on the hard rubber that runs along to top of the door. If you put it on the soft part of the rubber the wind deflector will not hold under tension.
3. Hold the mirror end of the deflector by the left hand and push the right corner of the milled edge into the rubber of the door by bending the deflector a little. Now the deflector is held by its own tension.
4. Then, beginning at the mirror end of the deflector, push the wind deflector into the rubber step by step. Use both hands when doing this.
5. Check the correct fitting of the wind deflector by wobbling it. A correctly fitted wind deflector will not change its position when doing the wobbling test because it is held by its own tension.
AFTER FITTING THE WIND DEFLECTORS ACCORDING TO THE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS, PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING POINTS
1. Close the window in several small steps. Please repeat this procedure at least five times.
2. While doing this pull the deflector towards the outside of the car so the door window is able to move slowly.
3. Before closing the window completely please ask another person to guide the door window with two hands.
4. Then operate the electric window button to help close the window completely.
5. After that please keep the door window closed for 24 hours so that the wind deflector is pressed into the rubber by the permanent pressure of the glass.
6. After being closed for 24 hours the electric windows will work correctly.
