For the best and most accurate results in alignment you first have to ensure there are no problems in the Air suspension system and fix any problems it may have.

Replace any dubious height sensors, and in fact as they are not that expensive, consider replacing them all, even if only one is dubious.
This is because the EAS plays a very important role in the weight distribution of the Vehicle and it must be functioning correctly.

Next you need to do a full height calibration, even if you did not replace any height sensors.
This is because the EAS system must have Valid target heights for accurate weight distribution

Next you need to put the vehicles Air Suspension system into Tight Tolerance mode with diagnostic equipment capable of doing this.
This rules out the EAS's own fairly loose tolerance of height and weight distribution that the EAS system normally allows.

The vehicle can then have it's physical alignment checked and corrected if required.

After which it should be taken out of Tight Tolerance Mode.

Hiya Geoff,

I'm in Coulsdon but I never seen a TyrePro in the area, unless I've completely misunderstood...It will be a handy addition to my list of recommended services for my car.

BBS spy...... they're not listening.... cant wait to see the next post about how there newly bought d3 goes in to limp mode halfway down the motorway Whistle

From one who's been there, seen it done it, GO TO LR dealer, pay yer money and get it done correctly.

ASk yourself this question, if you have a incorrectly worn tyre and go back to yer local tyre centre or LR dealer, which one do you recon you'll get some recourse from Whistle

Neither, because you can't guarantee that you have knocked the alignment out subsequently.

Around here, it was proven that only the dealer can perform this alignmrnt Sad a lot of money but it's worth it.
