Hi wiggs,
I've watching this thread with interest.
Regarding the vent for the fridge, I think that you would get optimal cooling/ventilation by also placing a vent at the top of the compartment.

I reckon the mods should lock this thread.
Every time there is an update is causes nothing but bad language, arguments, falling outs and tears.

An offroad burger van? Is there a market for them?I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Adrian,
Are you fitting a camper van / caravan style fridge? They need an air chimney, so you'll need an upper vent. The greater the vertical distance between the vents, the greater the cooling capability without resorting to 12v cooling fans (which are used for camping fridges in hot climes)
I suspect that you'll get quite a lot of roadspray on this front panel and this style of louvre is not as water resistant as a camping fridge grille. Not sure if anyone does an adjustable / closing grille in this size.
Nice trailer... Especially the recessed panels. Very pro.Club missing my D3

Cool!
The missus was looking around the other day for campervan kit to put in our new van - she found a fridge that didn't need a vent at all. Not sure which one that was.
Those Weaco fridges look good - a healthy tilt tolerance of 45 deg. Much better than an Electrolux / Dometic tolerance of 6 degClub missing my D3

Latest update ...
After being away all last week , i have spent all weekend on the trailer ( much to the anoyance of the wife ) .
My main issue i have had is the locks are not deep enough to fit the door frame and the chequer plate . I needed a depth of about 28mm ...the locks supplied were about 22mm . So out with the grinder ...
Paddle lock
original 22mm depth
Dismantled
bit of fettling
End result ...the rest i did were a lot better looking
New distance
I had another type of lock sent to me to try . The depth was ok , but the whole thing stuck out to much , and was not very waterproof .
