Just installed! So too late 8) Why should I? Wrapped Satin Yellow&Black; Lovells 2" Gas Legend Kit, OME hard springs. ATX 192 17" wheels with Cooper STT M/T tires. ProSpeed Roof Rack & Rear Ladder. Because the BAS FBHIC deals with locked-out fbh's in most cases I believe.Volvo XC60 - does all that the D4 should have done

Yes the 'auto fixing/reset' is one of the FBHIC best features and is a godsend when you are trying to coax a reluctant FBH to life. Also saves a trip to the dealer when it is locked-out for nothing more than a low fuel light.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Connected mine up via red cable and OBDII lead this morning (leaving the CAN cable connected but made sure the car was asleep), cleared the faults and it fired up perfectly.
The Webasto software is a bit tempermental though and would sometimes loose the connection with the FBH (timed out etc), but on the whole worked fine.
No more cold mornings!
Now, just need to wire up a remote start for it...Dave Neil

Mine fires up ok, stays hot until the engine has warmed up, each time I read the faults it says 1/1 b1d29 no start, even if I clear the fault first it still shows that fault, apart from that working fine anyone know why that happens?

Despite trying 3 computers, a USB OBD cable, a serial OBD cable, and wiring all sorts of different ways my FBH does not want to talk to the Webasto software
Just get this:

Any one any ideas? Have I fritzed the comms bit?
FBH itself works fine, would just like to be able to purge it

I tried using Webasto software version 2.14 but would not communicate with the heater. Removed the software from PC and downloaded version 2.10 this sorted the comms issue and was able to clear faults. No issues with the Webasto heater as it starts first time all the time when cold outside.
Just a word of caution is the FBH is sensitive to low voltage and will not start, so if you have all your heated seats and front and rear heated screens on plus blower going full blast this will draw a huge amount of current as the FBH will draw about 20 plus amps just starting up for the glow plug prior to flame on. I normally let the FBH cycle first for about a few minutes before switching additional accessories on.

I had same problems first time I used the webasto software : car don't sleep..........
Open bonnet , open window , close all door (close car if you want , just "have" the horn alarm bonnet is open) wait 10 min , (park brake light and /or sat nav screen off) , connect obd loom to FHB pin 2, run software, then , powered OBD loom, and only after this , run "diagnostic" in the software..... If doesn't work , check number of the "port COM" in window !!!
Keep me informed...

I used v2.11 and it seemed to work ok. Was a bit tempermental, but I put this down to my dodgy wiring rather that the softare itself.Dave Neil

I don't have the tool or software anymore (regrettably) but back in the day I found that (as well as the com port issues and fickle start-up order) that the comms lead was very sensitive to poor connections and interference. Indeed, using it at work (with radars and alike) I had to coil and uncoil the lead until I found a position where it didn't act as an antenna.
Borrowing a serial port lead as mentioned above was a lot easier than the USB version although the serial versions are harder to find these days (along with serial ports on computers).Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Thanks guys. Tried v2.9 (2.10 has gone from webasto website) but would still not work with serial or usb cable, so given up. It doesn't want to talk, will have to wait till I catch up with someone with a faultmate.
Btw how do I check if a serial port is 'on' on an xp pc?Tony

Just adding another thought to the FBH mix....
I've just spent most the morning and half the afternoon trying to get mine to fire - thought I'd fixed it the other week by clearing a couple of faults and an 'interlock', but it's not fired up all week........I got to the point where it would begin the cycle, fire up with loads of smoke (I primed it for 20 secs - too long maybe ?), then the Webasto software would lock out, the heater would continue to run for a minute and then go into the 'cooling' period, I kept trying to get the FBH to fire using the 'parking heater' setting on the software - but each time just as it started to roar, the software through a wobbler, and the FBH shut down.
Eventually I got a bit peed off (and was also getting quite cold !), so decided to give up - started the Disco up in order to move it back onto the drive, raised the suspension from 'access height' (it always get left in access since some scrote theived the spare wheel), cleared up my laptop, extension lead etc........and realised that the FBH had fired up all on its own (under control of the D3) - went out for a spin to get warmed up (me and the Disco), stopped in a layby once the temp gauge was reading normal, and whacked the heater controls up to max, and let the engine idle.........after a couple of mins the temp gauge dropped slightly, checked the FBH exhaust and it was blowing nice toasty hot air
Is it possible that the FBH won't fire when the vehicle is in access height ?, or was I just too impatient with my testing firings ?
Ta,
