Pirelli or general grabber
Hi all,
Time for the front tyres to be changed. Have pirelli scorpion zeros at the moment which I think ares good. I have read about general grabber uhp tyres as being good as well as cheaper. I want good on road performance and I also like to off road when I can. Will they cope?
Not a fan of at2 tyres as I heard not as good on road and can.be noisy?
So, uhp or scorpions?

Try Cooper HT+, good wearing tyre with excellent puncture resistance.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Hi
Just changed to ATR's from standard tyres.
Road holding on Tarmac a very precise and no extra road noise.

I don't need to go off road, but if I can, I do! Just for fun. No response on the uhps?

I have recently fitted UHP's and they seem fine, done about 1500 miles and they are quiet on road which was important for me, good grip in the wet. Not been offroad but much more 'aggresive' pattern than Scorpions. Good price too!

Have had uhp's on for the last 17k miles and been fine however, I have noticed the ride has deteriorated over the last month. Fair bit of tread left but changing then in the next couple of weeks to ltz'sWelcome "Lola"

hey bigcarpchaser, could you elaborate on what's happening with your UHP's as I'm tyre shopping today,
trying to choose between general UHP, AT2, and coopers,,
BTW anyone looking for scorpioins kwikfit have them on offer for £135 inc fitting today...
any thoughts appreciated, am doing 90% road obviously, read through the threads, seems everyone loves AT2's although there is the odd comment on weak sidewalls...
I tend to be a bit heavy on my fronts, looking for longer than the 15k from the zero's

AT2 side wall is only weak if you venture off the tarmac that said they are still better than standard RT's in the Gloop

by the way, you sat on any wheel/ tyre packages at the moment?

Sorry ad15. only just stumbled back on the thread.
Coopers fitted now, look good, fine in the dry.
Will report back on off road ability tomorrow.
Need balancing AGAIN as still not 100%.
Kept 2 grabbers as spares but found a screw I'm one doh!
Uhp's cheap as compared to the other limited options.Welcome "Lola"

I have had both scorpions and Goodyear Wrangler and both are pretty much the same IMHO. Too early for me to know about wear rate on the Wranglers as they are still on the car and I keep switching between them and the Stormers on General Grabber UHP 8)Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it
