Another mobile phone question

By now we are all familiar with the retrograde bluetooth software in the MY09 with regard to TPI and connectivity. Unfortunately (?) I use a Nokia N95 which is the most advanced phone I have ever used but it does not hook up with the car's system other than to manage basic call functions. However, I have a TyTnII which DOES have almost full compatibility and which transfers the phone book to thwe D3. So my question is, is there any way of saving the phonebook which loads into the Disco's memory? Currrently. when the TyTnII is removed, the phonebook clears.

Thanks

No way to download the address book into the D3.

As of MY08 the PTI reads from the phones address book and displays it on the head unit.

I'm surprised you are having issue with the N95. Mine worked very well with the D3 (now use an N82) and many here also use the N95 with the PTI.

Have you checked your N95's settings ?

I believe you can have the software upgraded on your MY07 so allow the reading of the address book (MY08 being when this feature was introduced).

If I had an 07 that would be the solution but this is and MY09 and the software has been changed.

Your profile shows a '2007 LR3 TDV6 SE Auto Vienna Green' which is what most members will look at (sigs tend to get ignored)

I had intermittent success with the phonebook over bluetooth after the LR BT unit was upgraded / replaced. However, what has completely solved any problems for me is a software upgrade to the N95. I was on V12.something, now I'm on V20.something. Phonebook works faultlessly every time. However, you won't get the call log though.

The latest N95 firmware works very well (MY08 & 8.5). The only downside was that my TomTom stopped working with it for its data connection.

N82 works with both at the same time in the D3 now.

This issue is really frustrating me, I can't get phonebook access via my Orange SPV E650 or my sons Samsung E650, dealer claims the upgrade has been done to the module. Am at a brick wall Banging Head

Without phonebook access I am breaking the law if i scroll the phonebook via the handset, am considering a fixed cradle and going for an old nokia phone.
