Lrrhool.
No i have not taken the engine apart. But in support of the stuff i still use the Jeep and this is ten years on from the K Seal going in. I have never added any more and the coolant has been changed twice since then and the heater still works fine. That is with about another hundred thousand on it.
My Jeep has a cast iron block and that is what i was told was the problem. All i can say is it worked, after a hundred thousand more miles there has been no issues so i do not agree it is a get you mome fix.......unless you live the other side of the world.

I did reluctantly put in in my VW Passat, to cure a coolant loss. It worked for a very short while, but it turned out to be a head gasket issue. When I took the head off, the smaller water galleries in the block were all full of jellified coolant. I had to flush out the whole cooling system.Richard

I wonder if you used a different K seal product?
The one i showed has what looks like microscopic metal particles in suspension and there was zero reaction to the coolant even years later.
Did you also top up the coolant with another type? If you mix coolants it is very easy to get them reacting and forming a gel that will block pipes
