Recon turbo options for tdv6

Hi, has anyone bought a recon turbo recently, and could recommend who to use? I tried BAS today but they said they don’t supply for the 2.7 engine anymore because ebay is flooded with cheap recon turbo’s.
I had a look and there were 5 or 6 suppliers offering an exchange service ranging between £280 and £360.
Has anyone bought recently off eBay or elsewhere and could recommend a supplier? It’s an 18yr old car with 185k on the clock so I can’t justify spending £850 on a new one…

I've used recon turbos in the last, without much success

Stuck with brand new OE units, and never had a problem My D3 Build Thread

Thanks Disco-Mikey, i decided to go with a rebuild at Turbo-Technics as i’m trying to keep the costs down.
If the turbo doesn’t last then you can say ‘i told you so’ and i cant say I wasn’t warned!😊
