Cluster repair advice please

Evening all!
You have all been so helpful here before and I am once again asking for your wisdom (on the basis that flattery gets you everywhere….)
Our 2006 D3 started to have intermittent faults about a year ago - HDC Fault, Suspension lowering, airbag light coming on (it’s ok, it’s not that I promise), Trip meter zeroing, immobiliser not disarming etc and after hours of trawling through posts on here (all excellent) it pointed to a faulty cluster (confirmed when I hit it and it started working properly….)
The main fault that was becoming more problematic was with the immobiliser as the solid light wouldn’t come on implying that the car didn’t recognise the key.

We sent the cluster to cluster repairs in Walthamstow and it has come back (apparently having to be reset 3 times because there were so many faults in it) and doesn’t work - we can’t see what else isn’t working because the immobiliser problem is still there.

We have been advised to disconnect the battery and leave it overnight and try again (which doesn’t make sense to me - please explain in crayon if you can) but if that doesn’t work, would you a) send it back to cluster repairs (I have since read reviews that aren’t pretty) or find a different company to send it to and in that case who would you recommend?

Literally banging my head against a wall for not checking reviews beforehand and asking your advice is preferable to giving my husband “the stare of disappointment and regret” for the next week… 🤪

Thank you for your help - I hope you can!! 😁

They clearly don't know what they're talking about, no amount of "resetting" is going to repair the dry solder joints!

Totaltronics is definitely your best bet - Patryk is great at fixing these instrument clusters.

Resolved successfully!!

Quick update on this, the cluster was returned to cluster repairs and came back this morning in full working order. The car works again much better than it did before and I just wanted to tell people because we found it really frustrating when researching that people didn’t give results sometimes.

So to be clear:

FAULTS: (all intermittent)
HDC Fault
Suspension collapsing
Immobiliser not disengaging
Airbag light not going out on startup

All of these have been fixed by the cluster being repaired/reprogrammed/whatever magic cleverer people than me do to these things and our 2006 Disco with 230,000 miles on it now works like a new one (well maybe better actually as not new!!)

Thanks all for your help!
