Next problem - drivers seat wont move |
|
Hey folks,
The adjustment on the drivers seat has stopped working. I have checked fuses etc but cant see anything obvious that would stop the switches from moving the seat. Pressing the memory buttons shows a confirmation message on the dash so this is some power under there somewhere.
Any tips on what to look for before I start pulling things to bits?
Thanks

And its a blown fuse!
Who knew there was another fusebox behind the glovebox!
Reading this: https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/drivers-ele...t+controls enlightened me. Just need to get some fuses now
Hopefully its nothing more serious causing the blown fuse and a new one will fix it.

How long have you had a Disco? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

A D3, less than a year.
I am used to Series 2s & 3s so all this electronic wizardry is a mystery.

Yes, it was quite a shock to go from a vehicle that had working suspension, a heater that worked, operational windscreen wipers and seats you could adjust (a bit!) to something that doesn’t heat up without having to plug a laptop into the webasto heater, sags overnight, makes horrible grinding noises from the wipers and a seat that won’t move.
A real step backwards

Time to fill your LR profile in as it looks like you’re going to need some more help now you have moved up to a high tec vehicle, you will be very lucky to get away with just a blown fuse. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Already replaced half the suspension, prop shaft, 5 injectors, the brake vacuum pump, brake servo, timing belts, viscous fan, valve block seals, air compressor, recalibrated the suspension, repaired the rear wiper motor and replaced a fuse for the seat controls
Starting to get a bit sick of spending my weekends fixing it TBH
Much easier on the 2a, just need a big hammer or 7/16" & 1/2" spanners to fix most things
