All of the wiring and electronics (because its all fitted to the vehicle), including ; Mapping, Ecus, Electronic dipstick, Both turbo units, EGR valves ETC.
was transferred and used on the 2.7 engine.
I fitted all of the parts from the 3.0 engine onto the 2.7 engine.
Not all of the mounting holes are available, but everything stays put.
Everything from the 3.0 engine fits onto the 2.7 engine apart from the engine breather system.
It should be noted that the waterpump on the 3.0 does not fit the 2.7. The impellar sticks out further, hitting the block on the 2.7 (and breaking off as I found out)!

Could you use the 2.7 manual dipstick as well?
Did you have to use a GAP II to make some changes in the CPU settings? Discovery 4, MY2011, TDV6 Auto

I cannot remember if there is a fitting on the 3.0 sump pan for a dipstick. I think you would have to make your own.
You cannot use the 2.7 sump pan because there are several connections for the turbos, electronic dipstick etc.
I did not alter any settings via IID Tool or anything else.
