AutoGearbox issue...please help!
Good Evening,
I've tried to find a previous thread with my issue but have had no luck!
We have a 55 plate SE with 185k on the clock...its recently had a new torque converter and a refurbished gearbox fitted due to the last one dieing on us!
The car has been an utter delight to drive for the last couple of months...minor teething issues as there always is with these cars...however got in the car this evening...
No faults or warning lights coming up. Everything seemed fine. Pull gear stick into reverse drive perfect. Move off and that's it just stays in 1st. Revs like hell up to about 3.5k before I'm like ummm....why is this not changing gears.
Moved gearstick into sport mode no still not changing. Start manually changing the gears absolutely fine...
What on earth has caused this and any info on a solution. I'll certainly be phoning Suffolk Transmissions tomorrow. But puzzled as there are no faults or lights anything...

Soft tyre can cause issues like this...
There are actually many reasons why the box won't change up, but requires plugging in and live data checked My D3 Build Thread

Number one cause is brake lights.
Check the bulbs are working.
If it’s not bulbs, change the pedel switch.
Other wise, drive in day and see if turning headlights off makes a difference.

Apparently wife is driving the car and now suspension has gone throwing up codes...
Hopefully this isn't terminal...and it's an easy fix hopefully...

They do tend to lower, if lots of faults happen.

So wife took the car to a guy near us who does land rovers for a hobby/living...
Found a brake light was out. Changed the bulb all seemed fine. Found a second bulb that was in our view faulty as it was on when driving with lights on but as soon as you touched the brake pedal it went off...changed that light too even though it wasn't blown...
Cleared a mountain of faults that the car threw out when it decided to have a major wobbly...
Hopefully this will sort it...
But unfortunately for me...the wife's faith in the car has gone so time to sell i think...

As much as I'd love to say this will not stop us selling it...it is just the start of a long list of things that she feels has killed her faith in the car...she loves it and loves driving it but she has to be able to guarantee that she can get the baby to and from groups etc...currently she doesn't trust she can...understandable to be fair!
