United Kingdom 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Rimini RedDiscovery 3

I've found a local indy that looks like they know what they are doing, so will give them a call on Monday to see if/when they can have a look at her Smile

The only thing I can think of is that my module had previously been swapped at some point and the part taken from a RR - Very weird though!!

FINALLY!!

I think I have it fixed - I only *think* as it hasn't gone wrong in 2 weeks.

Anyway - I blanked off my failing EGR valves about 9 months ago, now I also have a MY07 car which means that it should throw a code, with Engine Management light being on, well after I blanked mine I never had either of these, my IID BT never showed an EGR (or related) error at the time or since, and the car had been fine until this latest issue, other than a faulty compressor but that was definatley unrelated Smile .

I took the car to an independent, who I wont name, there was a mix up with what I told them I wanted doing to what they actually did and credit to them they didn't charge me, but they basically read the codes and took it for a test drive, found not fault, except an EGR code that they cleared, and then said they wouldn't be able to fix any part I supplied Sad

The fact they found an EGR code then got me thinking that perhaps all of this was related to my blanking and not patching the EGR, even though I had had no EGR codes, and the codes I had looked to be a faulty ABS module I went ahead spoke with the lovely people at BAS Autos and got the EGR patch for my car, applied and well, no fault since. It's been around the M25 pretty much twice in that time, towed the wifes mobile catering unit to some events, and just generally been used in situations which normally would have kicked off the error, and nothing, hasn't missed a beat!!

To say it's odd is an understatement, but then again this is a Land Rover, and an electrical issue at that!!

Let's just hope it is finally fixed (for now) Bow down

Mike
