The grabbers actually wear the inner edge of the alloy wheels. I know this from experience. I live/work rurally so have tried most off-road tyres and one-or-two 4x4's.
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac are my current choice of tyre. I can navigate a freshly ploughed field with these no problem, they've also proved to be outstanding through the recent heavy snow and over ice (daily) and never seem to struggle. Handling and noise at motorway speeds is also spit-spot.
Cooper discoverers were usless, BFG's overpriced, General AT2's superb but no longer available, Yoko Geolanders so-so, Conti cross-contact pointless, Khumo not outstanding on the tarmac etc etc
You certainly wouldn't regret a set of the Goodyears, they look cool af too.

I haven't noticed any difference in fuel consumption or road noise on the Avon AX7/Cooper Discoverer ATT.
They aren't mega aggressive as I only need to do light off road around the shoot. They look pretty decent too.
I had Cooper Discoverer AT3's on my Navara and they were ok, but weren't the best and I did get stuck. The ATT are less aggressive looking than the AT3's, but I think the terrain trickery on the disco helps a lot.
If you want mud plugging reassuring confidence then I'd probably not go with the ATT's as they slip and slide, but as I say, I haven't got stuck......yet.

The tread pattern on the Pirelli AT's is cool, has anyone noticed the tread is actually in the shape of letters?
I'd go for those bad boys as my next tyre when the Duratrac's are worn out just to see if they play as well.

You've tried a lot of tyres! Have you tried the Pirelli AT+ too?

The problem moving away from Duratracs is they are fairly cheap as well, if you wait for the Goodyear deal at Costco

Treated my Discovery 3 with 4 new Pirelli Scorpion Zero’s (255/55/19 111W LR M+S). Have been looking for months here in Germany to get Pirelli’s AT+ but have not been able to source them below EUR 250 per tire. Taking into account that 95% of my trips are on asphalt, I have taken the more sensible and decision. ATR’s were not an option as I travel often over long distances on the Autobahn / highways at 150km/h.
Will report in 3 months time how they handle.

I get a better ride with scorpion verde on 19 inch wheels than i did with scorpion zero on 18's 1996 Defender -died (now in landrover heaven😇)chassis to ashes , rust to dust !

I have scorpion verde all season and foam was not an option.

I've ran General Grabbers and Toyo AT's. They performed great until they aged out. Right now, I'm planning to try the nitto ridge grappler because it looks more aggressive than a regular AT tyre.
