Discovery 3 modules

Hi, I've only had my Discovery 3 for a few weeks 2008 HSE tdv6, i was investigating if it had a TV module or the wiring for one behind the offside rear panel, came across these 2 modules
Photo 1 and 2 land rover xra500031 is to the left of photo 3 i disconnected the wiring and cleaned the terminals and reconnected, But now the radio switches on but no sound and the screen only displays the Landrover logo
Any help appreciated
David

The orange tubes are optical fibre links.

These need to be a loop to get sound and not have the logo stuck on the screen.

The modules in the back also need to be powered and work to repeat the optical single.

Modules look like phone and traffic.
You can bypass the optical connectors and see what the problem is.

I've bypassed the Bluetooth (first module the black one) still nothing this did have a red light signal going to it, then reconnected it, bypassed the second module ( silver one) nothing this had no red light signal going to it, it only had a red light signal when the Bluetooth module was bypassed
Any help appreciated

If you have a red laser (do not look in to it) showing in the cable to the Bluetooth but not on to the Traffic unit, but you do when you bypass the Bluetooth then the Blue tooth is not transmitting the signal on.
If it was OK before then I would check the other connector on the Bluetooth module and the power to it?

It’s not actually a laser in the true sense of the word but a LED operating in the red wavelengths (center wavelength at 650 nm, width +-30 nm). It’s not dangerous to look at, honest, and won’t destroy your eyes or burn a hole anywhere.

If it were dangerous there would have to be safety mechanisms like in ultra long-haul transmission systems with a guard (“carrier”) wavelength and ALS (automatic laser shutdown) to prevent people from looking into a continuous high powered light source or a key-lock.. Whistle

Anyway, if you’re curious about MOST in general, there’s a pretty awesome book freely available https://www.mostcooperation.com/specificat...a-network/ that explains it in great detail.
