multiple electrical faults.
could someone please help
I have a 2005 se disco 3. last week I went to my car put the key in and turned it on. as soon as it turned on I had multiple faults come up
lights on the dash
amber epb
amber suspension light
Green flashing hi/lo light
amber dsc light on
the park brake automatically tried to come on and made a squeal sound.
every time I turn the car on these faults come up and the epb comes on. as soon as I put the car in park the epb automatically comes on.
the epb comes on but makes a slight squeal sound.
I have replaced brake switch which made no difference.
I took the transfer case ecu off and noticed there was some corrosion in 1 of the connectors. not a lot but I cleaned it up but still no better.
just to let you guys knows I have after market brake lights on (d4 style) and they have been on for 5 years.
the owner before me replaced the reflectors in the rear bumper to led lights which the left one no longer lights up. they must be wired into the brake lights.
can anyone help me with this? any suggestions?
I have had the codes red and will post them at the bottom.

Time for a new battery i think.
All of these codes can be generated by a dying battery or alternator.

Dash shoudnt be a problem on a 2005, Fords didnt introduce the faulty dashes until 2007

I have checked the battery and alternator and both seem ok. I think the problem could be transfer case ecu?

Hiya
Ref ur TCM module, indeed if the corrosion is there can cause all sorts of issues , also is the ECM module behind it ok, just in case that’s also got pin corrosion
Sounds daft but the HDC button isnt turned on, , have u tried pressing it on and off and seeing if it makes any difference
Also see ur drivers pretensioner had a permanent error , is ur airbag light on plse
Would u mind taking a pic of the tcm please to see how bad it is and is that ur own diagnostics as I’m pretty sure if u need to replace the tcm u need diagnostics
But not 100% , hopefully someone else will be able to confirm that for u and also if u can use a second hand tcm or needs to be a new one
Also if I may ask, what Vdc readings did u get on the battery plse with the engine off and then on , with everything turned on and @2,000 revs
Thks and sorry for all the questions

Just thought , if I may add plse , might be an idea to disconnect that faulty rear bumper light , just to prove if it makes any difference
Plus that seat belt pretensioner , might be a bad connections , seeing it has a permanent error and the TCM is a historical error
Also assume all the faults were cleared and these were the ones that came back up
apologises , I’m gassing again
Thks

so I took the tcm off a few weeks back and noticed a lot of green coloured corrosion inside one of the connectors. I cleaned it up and put it back on but made no difference. maybe I need to get the code cleared to see what comes back on.
hdc button can be freely pressed up and down but makes no difference to what is happening.
I will try and remove the faulty bumper lights this week to see if it makes a difference.
the battery was putting out 12v with the car off
14v with the engine sat at 1500 rpm
didn't check anything else?
yes my srs light is on permanently.
it happened before and I changed the clock spring which sorted it but then came back on about a year after I changed that. now I see its the seatbelt restraint I can replace that.
don't apologise for asking questions you guys are trying to help me out. 👍

At 12V a battery has less than 50% charge

You want to see 12.6 v or above before start which should then rise to around 14.7 after start on a cold engine.
This will drop to between roughly 13.7 v and 14.3 v when warmed up. In your case 12.0 v before start is about 25 % charge so you're going to have a host of issues with that!
Get yourself a new battery (Yuasa HB019/20. Either come with 5 yrs warranty and you won't go wrong. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I just checked my battery again and its reading 12.3v with engine off. I will put a new battery on this week as a few people have said battery now. at least that rules that out then
