| Strange transmission problem |

Evening all. I changed my gearbox and TC today for a known Bristol transmission rebuilt box and Tc. I know this kit to have been working well prior to having been stripped from the car which was scrapped due to rot etc.
All went well on the swap, oil refilled and a reset performed using snap-on software, ready for a road test.
Once out on the road the box seemed very clunky and eventually it held onto 4th gear and showed the F on the dash and limited gears available. A quick ignition reset and I’m off again. All seems well and then it happens again. This carries on for 5 or 6 times.
I’ve got a guy with autologic coming over Monday. Is there any advice from you guys to help me?

Well the only things you can do wrong are.
Linkage incorrectly adjusted.
Fluid level wrong. Needs engine running to check level.

Well you were correct. I did a mechatronic seal change a refitted my old gearbox. Works like a treat. It was just a knackered torque converter in the first place
