I need to replace my rear locking diff. issue with the locking part of the diff (the positioning pin has been removed and the whole locking clutch etc. is not sitting properly)
Number of options at different price points, obviously.
1. replace with new OEM - $2500 +
2. rebuild - $1500
3. used - $1000
Each has its own merits.
I guess what I struggle with is the cost of the repair vs. cost of what I paid for the car...
I believe the diff in this 2005 has already been replaced once.
What I'm worried about, truth be told, is replacing this and still not getting rid of the error. I have already replaced the motor and actuator...
thoughts?

I am sure...
however, I'm annoyed at the "transmission issue - traction reduced" or whatever it says every time I start it up!
