Garage fitting a fixed towbar but is it right

Hi, I'm now at garage having the tow bar fitted after my previous topic regarding low speed rear end collision.
What I don't know is is the towball right for towing my sprite quattro eb as it doesn't look as long as the detachable one.
Thanks Andy

If you have an Alco hitch on the caravan that should be the correct ball. If you can compare it to others, probably older, you will see they have a shorter neck still.

As long as its the extended neck version then its fine Thumbs Up But looking at it more closely, it doesn't look like an extended neck version, best to double check it before hitching the caravan on, as a normal towball doesn't let an Alko hitch articulate properly.

But you may need to replace it if you have an Alko coupling on your caravan

I do, my van is a 2018 model.
This has been done as part of an insurance claim,
My van is 120 miles away... Will it not fit?

Landover don't make extended neck towballs I'm afraid, you need either a genuine Alko one or an equivalent pattern part otherwise the Alko hitch can't articulate properly.

I would assume the worst and take the correct towball with you.

I would get advice from an ALkO stockist

The towbar is fine, it’s only the towball that may need changing, two nuts and bolts.
