Parking sensors

Hi,
What a fool am I?
Put new sliders on all going well and not to much trouble say I
Then looked at the front wheel panel and noticed that it was dripping,
Ok I take it off and Oh boy this is what I found Embarassed

so please check your fronts as all the leafs and rubbish which goes down the front wing!

now I have no parking sensors which were working fine before I did the sliders. Looked on the Gap but really don't know what I am looking for any one done this before? and what should I do?

You reckon that’s bad. My disco was parked up on axle stands for about 9 months. No headlights grille or bumper fitted. A bird decided to make a nest in the hole next to the fbh. At least 3 carrier bags full of stuff in there. Another one by the brake servo. Just glad it wasn’t mice. Shocked

Read the fault codes to see if that tells you

The rear arches are worst and creates rust

When I did my rear sensors a couple of months ago I found a block of solid mud weighing a good kilogram behind the offside arch moulding.

You can test the sensors by

1. Chock the wheels
2. Switch the ignition on
3. Select reverse gear
4. Let the park brake off
5. Put your ear to each sensor

You should hear a clicking sound from each sensor, if you have no clicking from any sensor try cleaning the plug behind the nearside rear light. If its just one sensor it could be faulty or have a dirty plug at the back.
