All ready to lift out but my lifting chains snapped and I canā€™t find my bloody d links.

All unbolted from gearbox and flexplate and engine mount 18mm all undone just a case of hooking it up and yanking out šŸ˜

Absolutely take my hat off to you. I wouldnā€™t want to do it with the body on. Thumbs Up

Arenā€™t the bonnet hinges designed so you can raise it straight up to give better access? Never done it on the disco but have a feeling you can.

Wot? JLR designing something sensibly? They're bound to have revisited that in later models. Laughing

Canā€™t the bonnet just be taken off, like in days of old?

L322 Range Rovers certainly have a 90 degree "Servicing" position for the bonnet. I would assume D3/4 do also.

you probably want to block the turbo air intake pipe off at the front. (e.g with glove or newspaper)

things have a habbit of falling down there, or dirt.
