According to the information it will only run successfully on windows 7 and LR from 2005 which possibly indicates that it is old software, but there again it is your money.

I bought the icarsoft LRII when I bought my Disco, to be honest I've been impressed, the live data is pretty good, it pinpointed a failing injector and reads/clears faults without any issue, including the fuel burning heating and EPB.
I had a Nanocom when I had a Disco 2 which had greater functionality but I never used it so the additional cost was never worth the investment to me (you may well be different). One other point is that the icarsoft seems to sell for pretty much the same price secondhand as new so if you decide you need something better you shouldn't lose much.

I brought the cable and use SDD occasionally, did pair the eBay key fob to my D3, but it's an old version SDD, only works for older Land Rovers.
