Yes I think you have to remove the front runner by the speaker, to give you room to swing the regulator 90°
There is an excellent guide that was linked to further up this post.
I'm surprised the runner is broken though. It's only a bit of metal, going half way down the door
Hi Pete
Many thks, been reading that as I wanted to know how the regulator came out
Maybe it’s some material that’s come away from that runner , will be able to see better after I’ve got the old regulator out
All good fun
Thks as always

Hi
New regulator turned up and clips
However the clips that attatch to the glass don’t fit properly , not sure if I’m missing something
As u look at the regulator, the glass clip will go under the first part of the clip but too thick to go under the second part
Wondering if I can maybe shave it down a bit in order for it to slide under the second part of the white clip on the regulator
Or cut the pointed bit off the white glass clip so the round part goes further into the clip , as it’s the pointed bit that won’t go under the second part of the clip
I haven’t tried to move the second part of the clip in case I break it
Hope that might make a little bit of sense
Many thks as always

Just looked on ebay for reference at some other clips
Looks as though the clips are correct , just too thick to go under the second part of that regulator clip
Have got a bench wheel

They look normal although cannot see a side view. Mine looked like that and the way you have them they click into the clip on the regulator, just might be stiff - leave out in the sun for an hour to soften up

Hi
Many thks , there not sided according to the web site
Have measured them and looks as though I just need to take a few mm off, don’t want to force the second part of the clip in case I break it
I believe u normally can’t buy the clips separately, so by me doing so the cast that they’ve used to make them might not be 100%
All good fun

If you measure the gap at the bottom of the regulator clip - that's how wide the clip should be as the flexible part of the clip ends up vertical (same gap all the way up)

All part of the fun and why isn’t things nice and simple for a change
Can see the second part of the clip is narrower than the first
Just thought , Will take the broken clips off my door to see how they match up
Thks again

Nothing like dragging a job out
Whilst im laid up been working a few bits out , carefully sanded the new glass clips down using a dremel
So at least that’s a little bit done
Plus been messing around with the bottom cig lighter section , going to fit a new switch panel with some new USB ports / 12 v adaptors etc
Got a few pieces of 2mm aluminium so can lay it over the switch plate if I need to fit different switches , might cover the switch panel with material , haven’t decided yet
Got 2 x of each type of digital voltage meters for my dual battery system and they automatically turn off so won’t glare of a night time , preferred these to the other dual battery switch
Will fit them in the new switch panel or front overhead light
dashcam will all be hardwired to the aux battery via a fuse box
Yep, think I’ve got too much time on my hands
Work in progress

So the bottom panel should look similar to this
Will get green lights to match the dashboard ones
Just using my time to work everything out before hand

Hi
Also meant to ask
The drivers door loom has come out, how the hell do u get it back in plse , is there a magic trick
Do u have to get the wires out of the way in the drivers foot well as no matter how hard I tried can’t get the rubber seal of the loom to sit back into the pillar properly
Also going to check out about fitting some puddle lights as the drivers door card is off, just got to find the wire and cutting in the light in the bottom of the door card
Had thought about upgrading to some HSE door cards , but as mines a base model no point as the extra speaker wires won’t be there with a low line stereo system
as always many thks in advance
