Also didn’t realise the regulator has the glass clips attached to it via a wire, thought at first it had like a scissor metal runner system but see it’s different , so wondering if I can just buy a new regulator that has the glass clips already attached , but got to double check what type of clips is on the glass, think it’s the screw type , unless it screws onto the white clips on the regulator
Penny dropped and makes a lot more sense
Also got to find the speaker screws as there were none, card clips etc etc in what’s missing
Including the wiring loom inside the rubber conduit which goes from the door into the cabin isn’t clipped in correctly
Just know the door card/ fixings etc hasn’t been put together properly , yet another bodge job I’ve found
Thks so much once again

The window regulator has 2 clips that are the receivers for the 2 clips on the glass.
I don't think you can buy a regulator without the receivers.
I will send you a link in the morning to the regulator I bought, because I didn't get that from Britpart, but an eBay seller who sells LR original brand new for £29.95! That's cheaper than the second hand ones!

When I did my drivers door lock, the internal handle was attached to the door card but it only clicks into card so whomever did your door before never put it back correctly

Hi
Many thks,
Looks as though I will indeed need to get a regulator as that’s all broke as well, clips are all broke up , plus the clips on the glass are snapped in half , still they are the originals so not bad for 13 x years old
I see ref the clips , the ones u fix onto the glass clip into the other clips on the regulator , makes sense
Found the black clips in Germany and yes plse ref the regulator clips
Bless u for the help , most appreciated

Hi
Many thks,
Will have another look at that handle , want to disconnect it from the card so get it out the way
Rest of it , is a right mess, screws, clips missing , the front glass runner looks broke half way down and indeed speaker wasn’t even screwed in
Didn’t know I’ve got to unbolt that runner to remove the regulator
Will take me a few weeks to get everything to hand, so that I can ensure it’s all refitted properly
Did wonder why there was a slight rattle in the door
Also noticed the loom as it comes out of the door into the body, hasn’t been installed correctly , that looks a right pig , I’ve removed the inner side panel but there’s so many wires in the way don’t think I’ll be able to push the rubber conduit into the body from inside
Think it will be a case of using something plastic so I can slowly push it back correctly , don’t want any risk of water ingress , or maybe push it through the body , then see if I can pull the conduit back and Into the grooves
Thks again

Just remembered, there is a screw in the door handle which should help hold the door card in place when fitted correctly

Hi
Many thks
Is that the one behind the small blanking plug
Got the card off yet The handle assembly doesn’t wish to come off from the card , so indeed assume there’s a hidden screw somewhere , but will just undo the cable in order I can remove the card completely
Thks as always for the info

Just had a look at the ebay link for the regulator, and they have sold out
Was a good deal, so I am not surprised. Link to the seller below just in case (they are a LR dealer, so maybe they just had some excess stock?)

Yes I think you have to remove the front runner by the speaker, to give you room to swing the regulator 90°
There is an excellent guide that was linked to further up this post.
I'm surprised the runner is broken though. It's only a bit of metal, going half way down the door

Many thks for the link and indeed as u say , maybe had some old stock, have found some new ones for £65 , which i think is the way to go because of it being the drivers door so used the most
So will order a new regulator and the glass clips
Thks again
