I never owned a D1 or D2, although I came close a couple of times, but the above is certainly also my experience. The D3 is way superior, IMO. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE

I worked at LR at the time. Two things stopped it from being fitted to D3 1) Cost 2) Marketing didn't want the D3 to compete with RRS in that respect. Same reason a D3 Diesel is speed limited to 112MPH

how did they speed limit the D3 then and not RRS. Where is the difference in the setting?

Mine had the limiter electronically disabled and trust me, 120mph on the autobahn isn't something I would repeat in a D3! I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

one of the best features of the D2 ACE is that it totally disconnects the ARB's when in low range off road, great for articulation Pete

The system on the RRS does that too, in effect, by allowing the fluid on both sides of the anti roll bar to flow freely between the sides. Works well. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
