Millers injector cleaner
hi
been reading a few old threads ref inj cleaners and wondering now a decent amount of time has past since the threads were posted in what ur view is of using the millers plse
thought that as many of us own iid and getting live injector readings before and after using the cleaner if there has been any notifiable/ improvement with the running of ur engines ,
or since buying the millers have gone onto something you’ve found better plse
many thks as always in advance

I put a double dose in at the last fill and it was noticeably smoother and pulled better
Whether it’s just coincidence or not, I’ve also never had any smoke from the FBH or any issues
My car is just shy of 80k and I can notice a difference if I haven’t put any in for a while.
My results are subjective, and I don’t have access to software tellling me if there is any actual difference...
I’ve tried a few injector/system cleaners like Redex, STP etc and the only one I can detect a definite improvement from is Millers....I’m a fan"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

many thks and good to know
will also be interesting if anyone took live data readings before adding it and then over the months monitoring the inj readout to see if it improves them
thks again

I’m two weeks in, got most of the immediate fixes sorted, so now into days to day maintanance.
All my previous cars have been Petrol, so naive to diesel.
Is injector cleaner “a thing”?
Always thought these types of treatments were over-hyped voodoo with no real evidence of benefit and potential for harm.
Would really been keen on finding out what I should be doing to keep this car going for a long time to come.

I used to use millers, stopped using it and I’ve not noticed any difference at all, in fact I think my injector balances look better if anything.
Pete.IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

Over the years Ive tried them all (bought and diy) in many diesel cars and without exception i never noticed any difference in any of them.
Im not saying they dont work just I cant tell if they do or dont, that alone says to me not worth the money.
I should add in the yrs Ive seen haulage companies try them as well, magnets/additives/gas conversions and in the end it was always back to std diesel every time.
Of course now I have said that the company I now work for has gone gas mad, luckily not at my depot!

interesting feedback ref the cleaners
did use the millers in my td4 and it did seem the engine was running smoother , alas though could have just been physiological
would indeed be interesting now having the iid and live inj data to see if there was any difference over a period of time
also then been thinking about the “diesel plus “ if it has the same effect as these additives or not as the case may be
if it’s ever worth spending extra on the diesel plus/super
know those clamp meters that were reporting all sorts of claims were debunked as a total waste of money , no surprise there
still think the tried and tested italian tune up does wonders

Yes do a few miles round the Peak district with a 3.5T trailer on works wonders
