Hi. We have a discovery 3. A couple of months ago we went to go out (on a very cold morning) and it wouldn't start. Apart from that it was running ok. We got a mechanic out who attempted to change the glow plugs but said he replaced 3 but the rest were going to snap. He also changed the fuel filter. However, when we took it out after this it was running really rough - my husband says it feels like it's 'missing'. When sat in the car it feels like it's jolting and holding back. This is when the engine is warm or cold doesn't make any difference really. Does anybody have any idea what this could be?

Sounds more like injector problems. Get someone with an IID tool to read the injector balance offsets live data.
